Description: Vision Clinic Sydney is a boutique purpose-built Refractive, Cataract and Cornea practice located on Macquarie Street Sydney CBD.

We are passionare about providing our patients with the highest level of care with a focus on refractive laser and lens surgery, cataract surgery, and corneal conditions such as keratoconus and pterygium.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Orthoptist to join our thriving eye clinic. This is a permament position (full-time or part-time) offering either a 4 or 5 day working week during the hours of 8am – 4.30pm.

New graduates, Optometrists and Opthalmic technicians welcome.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with a myriad of eye conditions. A particular interest in refractive, cataract surgery and cornea is preferable but not essential.
• Collaborate with the ophthalmologist to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. This will include calculating for IOLs and ICLs.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as topography (i.e., Pentacam), anterior segment OCT, specular microscopy, A-scans (IOL Master 700), OCT, HVF, fundus photos, subjective refraction, cover testing, pupils, and ocular motility.
• Assist in trans-epithelial collagen cross-linking and minor surgical procedures such as intravitreal injections.
• Cooperate and liaise with staff as well as support the ophthalmologist across his various locations of practice and surgery to ensure optimum patient care.
• Stock management
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Work closely with the clinic's administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
