		Job Title: Orthoptist - Westmead, NSW Job Type: Full Time Location: Westmead, NSW Date Advertised: 24/01/2024 Description: Job Title: Orthoptist – Sydney West Retina, Westmead, NSW Job Type: Permanent Location: Westmead, NSW We are looking to employ an Orthoptist in our busy retinal practice at Sydney West Retina, Westmead. Our practice focuses on medical retina, including diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of retina services provided to adults. Duties include: vision, applanation, retinal colour photography, OCT, OCT angiography and fluorescein angiography. We will train staff in these procedures. Duties also include assisting with intravitreal injections and laser procedures, patient counselling, consent and clinical trials. A competent level of computer skills is needed. You will need to be well presented and highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of our team. Flexible hours needed. Salary will be according to the NSW Orthoptic award. Applicants will need to have completed B.App.Sc (Orthoptics) and/or Master of Orthoptics. New graduates are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided. There is good public transport to the clinic.
