		Job Title: Orthoptist - Bankstown, NSW Job Type: Full Time Location: Bankstown, NSW Date Advertised: 16/02/2024 Description: South Western Eye Care is looking for a motivated individual who is able to work as part of a team. The role requires patient assessment including vision, tonometry, visual fields, OCT, retinal photography, corneal topography, A Scan (IOL Master) assisting with Intravitreal injections and other minor operative procedures. You will be responsible for pre-assessing patients and be able to preform administrative duties, organising surgery lists and liaising with hospitals. The ideal candidate will have a professional manner with patients, excellent telephone skills, professional presentation, high levels of communication and customer service skills. You need to have attention to detail and be a team player. Computer literacy is essential. The successful candidate will have: - Skills in Orthoptic tasks including history taking, checking vision, applanation tonometry, performing OCT scans, visual fields, biometry, and retinal photos. - Assisting with minor procedures such as intravitreal injections and minor ops. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment both solo and as part of a team. - Be effective with time management and the ability to multi-task. - Computer literacy is essential. - Typing of medical reports - Assisting with smooth running of the practice such as stockings of rooms, sterilization and manage surgical lists. - Be required to help with administrative tasks when required. - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Attention to detail, be reliable and punctual.
