		Job Title: Orthoptist (Full Time) – Gordon and Lane Cove NSW Job Type: Full Time Location: Gordon and Lane Cove, NSW Date Advertised: 22/02/2024 Description: Gordon Eye Surgery and Lane Cove Eye surgery are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent Orthoptist role. (Please also apply if you would like to be considered for a Permanent part time role) Gordon Eye Surgery is a highly specialised multi-disciplinary ophthalmic practice with 18 Ophthalmologists and several other specialists working together in a modern and dynamic environment. The role is suited to an Orthoptist or new graduate who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care/focus and would like exposure to all aspects of ophthalmology such as: • Neuro-ophthalmology • General Ophthalmology • Medical Retina • Corneal • Oculo plastics • Paediatrics • Cataract and Refractive • Glaucoma and be surrounded by a large team of dedicated and experienced Orthoptists, Nurses and Ophthalmic Technicians. Roles and Responsibilities Ophthalmic assisting, Orthoptic assessments (Paediatric and Neuro), retinal injection assisting and general ophthalmic screening, are all part of the job description for this role. There is also the opportunity to join the team that travels to Griffith to work with public hospital clinics. Opportunity for involvement with clinical trials. The suitable candidate must have an enthusiastic approach, and possess the ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively within a team. Professional initiative, clinical acumen and critical thinking is essential. Flexibility to travel between the two practice localities on the same day if needed is also required.
