		Job Title: Orthoptist / Ophthalmic Assistant (FT or PT) - Canberra, ACT Job Type: Full Time Location: Braddon, Canberra ACT Date Advertised: 29/02/2024 Description: We are an established eye clinic seeking a motivated and enthusiastic orthoptist or clinical assistant to join our friendly team. We are open to enquiries from - • Experienced orthoptists or optometrists • New graduates (Orthoptics or Optometry) • Experienced ophthalmic technicians or optical dispensers We are committed to investing in the training and upskilling of our staff. FLEXIBLE WORK Our clinic supports flexible work arrangements and we’re happy to discuss arrangements to fit our mutual needs. Our offer is for a longterm position – either full time or part time (3 – 4 or 5days/week). - Positive and supportive team - No weekend work - Parking available, close to public transport and located in vibrant Braddon OUR TEAM Our clinic team – doctors, clinical staff and admin team are passionate about our work and providing the highest level of care to our patients. We are equally as passionate about supporting our staff in their personal and professional aspirations. We have an inclusive and fun team of admin staff and 2 experienced orthoptists. We are an inclusive and collaborative team and our daily interactions are busy and rewarding. Our 2 doctors are highly regarded leaders in their specialties: Dr Maciek Kuzniarz – has a diverse practice and sees a wide range of general ophthalmology conditions and is a sub-specialist in general and complex oculoplastic cases. Dr Kate Reid – is highly experienced and sought after specialist in the diagnosis and management of all neuro-ophthalmology conditions. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES • General patient assessment: history taking, visual acuity testing IOP measurements, refraction • Visual Field Testing & OCT, IOL Master and calculations • Retinal/fundus photography and fluorescein angiography • Sterilisation, preparing procedure room and assisting with minor procedures • Clinical stock and patient records management • Collaboration with admin team to ensure productive and efficient patient flow You will be supported with any training required.
