Description: About the role

The successful candidate will work within a team and have demonstrated skills and experience in clinical service provision as an Orthoptist, as well as working closely within the multi professional Ophthalmology service.

Knowledge, skills and expertise

Clinical Practice
Demonstrated knowledge and clinical skills as recognised by clinical experience, professional development activities, post graduate education or formal qualifications.
• Demonstrated ability to practise within a clinical evidence-based framework within the Ophthalmology service.

Communication/team participation
Work cooperatively and effectively within the orthoptics and interprofessional team and with patients and their families to provide value based and collaborative care.

• Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resources management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.

Quality improvement:
Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality activities to enhance the delivery of orthoptics and/or allied health services.
