Port Macquarie Eye Centre is a modern ophthalmic practice with eight ophthalmologists, two registrars, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses and clinical assistants. Our facility is the largest in regional NSW and is adjacent to our private ophthalmic surgery. We cover a variety of sub-specialties including glaucoma, strabismus and vitreoretinal, as well as all aspects of general ophthalmology. We see a wide variety of pathology and are passionate about ocular health. Benefits to working at Port Macquarie Eye Centre include: • Competitive salary • No weekend or late night work • Secure permanent role The duties for this role are: • Pre assessment of patients • Ocular motility assessments • Performing diagnostic testing and imaging including: o Biometry - EyeStar and Immersion o Humphrey visual field o OCT – Nidek o Retinal photography and angiography • Corneal topography/pachymetry • Anterior segment photography • Managing IOL calculations About You We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable individual to join our team, who has excellent communication skills, strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. You will be expected to hold a tertiary qualification in Orthoptics. Experienced orthoptists and new graduates are welcome to apply. Permanent part time or full time position available.
