		Job Title: Orthoptist - Albury NSW/Wodonga VIC Job Type: Full Time Location: Albury NSW/Wodonga VIC Date Advertised: 7/06/2010 Description: Orthoptic Position A fantastic opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate Orthoptist to join a busy regional practice. The successful applicant will join a team of 3 full time Orthoptists, 3 general Ophthalmologists, a Retinal Specialist and a visiting Paediatric Ophthalmologist. The Orthoptist will be exposed to a large variety of eye conditions. Orthoptic duties will include: • Computerized note taking • Vision / Refraction assessment • Squint / Ocular Motility assessment • OCT • Biometry • Visual fields • Corneal Topography • Retinal Photography • Assisting with intra ocular injections • Patient Counseling Orthoptic working conditions will include: • 38 hour week / negotiable hours • Above award wages • Initial 2 weeks accommodation paid • Funded educational opportunities (i.e. conferences) • Flexibility for some negotiation of conditions The successful applicant should have good communication skills, be keen to learn and have a strong team and work ethic.
