		Job Title: Orthoptist / Team Leader - Melbourne, VIC Job Type: Full Time Location: Melbourne, VIC Date Advertised: 7/06/2010 Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a career minded and motivated orthoptist to step up and lead our Victorian Vision Group team of 25 full time, part time and casual orthoptists. As the Victorian Orthoptic Team Leader your duties will be interesting and varied and can include: Team Leader Duties: - Managing and mentoring 25 orthoptists across six clinics - Managing the individual clinical needs of 11 partner ophthalmologists - Overall roster for 6 clinics - Pay summaries - Overseeing servicing of existing equipment - Organizing trails of new equipment - Liaising with DON’s and admin team leaders to provide and maintain excellence in patient customer service and care. - Recruitment General orthoptic duties: - Subjective Refractions - Biometry (IOL Master) - Topography (ORBSCAN) - OCT (Cirrus) - Perimetry (Zeiss) - Ocular Motility - Experience in Angiography and/or refractive laser experience would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be a self starter, have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, possess excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of the senior management team. They will also have a strong work ethic and a firm commitment to providing the highest level of care. They will be registered with the AOB and possess a current driver’s license and car.
