A fantastic opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Grade One or New Graduate Orthoptist to join a busy ophthalmic practice on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The successful applicant will join a team of Orthoptists, Nurses and Ophthalmologists covering a wide range of specialities from general ophthalmology, cataract, glaucoma, medical retina and strabismus. The Sunshine Coast is a dynamic, growing region, one hour north of Brisbane, with direct flights to most capital cities. The Orthoptist will be exposed to a large variety of eye conditions. Duties will include: - Vision / refraction assessment - Squint / Ocular Motility assessment - OCT - Biometry - Visual Fields - Corneal Topography - Retinal Photography - Fluorescein Angiography - Assisting with injection of intravitreal therapeutics Orthoptic working conditions will include: - 38 hour week - Above award wages - Opportunity to develop skills through further education - Rostered day off per four week period - A relocation package is also available The successful applicant should have good communication skills, be keen to learn and have a strong work ethic.
