We are seeking an Orthoptist to complete a locum stint (whilst one of our valued team members takes Maternity Leave) in our established general ophthalmic practice. Position Description: - Duration of Locum (4+ months) - Commencement (Mid-late August 2010) - 32+ hours per week (this is flexible to suit the successful applicant) - Above award wages - Opportunity for professional development (the successful applicant will be exposed to a wide variety of conditions) - Rostered day off per fortnight - Relocation assistance is negotiable Duties Include: - History - IOP assessment - S-OCT - Squint/Ocular Motility assessment - Biometry & Keratometry - Visual fields - Heidelberg Retinal Tomography - Retinal Photography - Fluorescein Angiography - Assisting with intravitreal injections The successful applicant should be keen to learn, possess strong work ethic and be a team player.
